Designed to be used when planting new grass, this product prevents dandelion and crabgrass for up to 6 weeks without harming new grass, jump starts grass development so it establishes thicker and quicker and feeds to protect against heat and drought. Other weeds prevented are clover, ground ivy, chickweed, henbit and nutsedge. Apply Scotts Turf Builder triple Action Built For Seeding to a dry lawn when temperatures are consistently between 60 deg F and 90 deg F, then lightly water to activate. This product is for use on newly seeded, overseeded or newly planted Kentucky Bluegrass, Tall Fescue, Perennial Ryegrass, Centipede grass and Fine Fescues. We recommend applying this product with a Scotts spreader. For Scotts broadcast/rotary spreaders, use a setting of 4-1/2. For Scotts drop spreaders, use a setting of 7. For Scotts Wizz, use a setting of 4-3/4. This product does not include seed and will not kill existing weeds. One 17.2 lb bag covers 4000 sq-ft.
